That Little Glitch

Had one little glitch in my day. When I headed out to get some groceries, my car wouldn’t start. Turn the key – click, click, click, click, click. Headlights would turn on and stay on but not enough juice to turn the engine.  Called Progressive for the roadside assistance I pay $5 a month for.  Union Street Towing arrived in about 20 minutes, jumped it, and I had called ahead to take it to Morall Brake. They are always excellent. They said I had the original Nissan battery (car is a 2002), but it wasn’t testing bad yet. If and when it doesn’t start again is a crapshoot. (I hadn’t left headlights on or anything to drain the battery.)  So I went ahead and had him replace it. It was overdue for an oil change as well. Battery $120, oil change $24.95, labor $2.00.  I was there for about 20 minutes.  Not bad and I still went shopping and got home and relaxed before Sarah got home from school.  This would’ve been much worse had it happened tomorrow, Christmas Eve, when she’s home.

Looking on the bright side!
